    BOOGIE BOY & His Woogies

LITTLE STEVEN & The Disciples Of Soul USA — Saturday 14/7

Steven Van Zandt or Little Steven is an allround artist. Music lovers obviously will know him as a guitarist with Bruce Springsteens E Street Band. He’s also an actor (The Sopranos, Lylihammer), producer, DJ, activist, historian and writer and he is the initiator and driving force of the Little Steven’s Blues School for young talent.

Little Steven will enter the stage with his own band: The Disciples of Soul. In 2017 he recorded after 15 years a new album with them, returning to his Rhythm and Blues roots. So expect a top show with his own work and carefully selected covers. A great gentleman with his fifteen-piece band who could not be missed in Peer.

RUTHIE FOSTER USA — Sunday 15/7

Ruthie Foster grew up in Austin, Texas in a gospel family. In her church she sang songs from Aretha Franklin and Mavis Staples, artists who have been of great influence on Ruthie. With her powerful voice she will give everyone goosebumps.

Producer Daniel Barrett made an attempt to characterise her music: “Some blues, some folk, some soul, some rock, some gospel”. In short Ruthie Fosters music!

    BOOGIE BOY & His Woogies B — Friday 13/7

Music is the most imprortant thing in the life of Paul Ambach, alias Boogie Boy. As a young guy he fell in love with the piano and in the seventies Ambach Circus was born, with musicians Jean Bosco Safari and Luc Renneboog from Blue Blot.

The legendary BB King invited Paul once with the words: “Come on Boy, let’s Boogie”. Paul did not hesitate and Boogie Boy was born. BB King was impressed and then took Paul on tour.

The King of Swing takes you to the exciting world of blues and soul under the title: ‘Back to the Blues’. And where do you go more back to the blues than on Blues Peer. Come on let’s Boogie!

Boogie Boy will perform with full band on Friday evening.
